In conjunction with Mansfield College Oxford University and the Bonovero Institute for Human Rights, we commemorated the first UN International Day to Combat Islamophobia on 15 March 2023. Professor Nazila Ghanea, the UN Special Rapperteur for Freedom of Religion and Belief (Oxford), professor Tariq Modood (Bristol), Dr Suriyah Bi (Oxford), adn Lord Wajid Khan (Labour) were panel speakers. The event was chaired by Professor Tarun Khaitan (Oxford).

PARLIAMENTARY REPORT LAUNCH, november 2022
We launched our "Index of Islamophobia: Proposing an Enforcement and Prosecution Framework" report in Parliament on 21st November 2022. Key speakers included Baroness Glenys Thornton, Lord Wajid Khan, Deidre Brock MP (SNP), Baroness Uddin, Hauwa Shehu (CPS), and Zaid Belbagi (CMF).

LSE INEQUALITIES PANEL EVENT, MAY 2022
The LSE and British Psychological Society invited CEO Dr Suriyah Bi to present at their event, which called for social class to be a protected characteristic. The event was attending by academics from the LSE, Leeds Beckett University, and David Johnston MP.
PRESENTATION OF 'EQUALITY ACT 10 YEARS ON' REPORT TO ANNELIESE DODDS MP, MAY 2022
CEO Dr Suriyah Bi met with Anneliese Dodds MP, Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities at Pembroke College, Oxford University. Our review was presented to Anneliese for the Labour Party to consider implementing the recommendations made.
OXFORD UNION PANEL EVENT, FEB 2022
The Oxford Union invited CEO Dr Suriyah Bi to deliver a talk on "Disabilities and the Equality Act 2010". The event took place in the debating chamber in February 2022 and can be viewed on Youtube here.

In honour of International's Women's Day, the Civil Service Gender Network invited Dr Suriyah Bi to present as part of a panel alongisd Antonia Romeo, Permenant Secretary, Ministry for Justice.
EQUALITY ACT REVIEW INTERNATION WOMEN'S DAY EVENT, MARCH 2022
The Equality Act Review organised an event in honour of IWD 2022 on March 7th 2022, which was held via Zoom. The event was attended by Wera Hobhouse MP, Steohanie Cohen from the Halo Collective, Dr Katherine Jenkins from Glasgow University, and Barrister Georgina Calvert-Lee.
BARCLAYS ISLAMOPHOBIA AWARENESS MONTH PANEL EVENT, NOV 2021
In November 2021, Barclays Muslim Forum invited CEO Dr Suriyah BI to a panel event designed to increase awareness of Islamophobia in the workplace. The event was also attended by attended by Tan Dhesi MP and senior D&I officials within Barclays.
EQUALITY ACT REVIEW 10 YEARS ON LAUNCH, JULY 2021
The Equality Act Review launched it's 10 it's landmark report, which is the largest and most comprehensive review of the Equality Act to date. ROYAL ANTHROPOLOGICAL SOCIETY PRESENTATION,

CEO Dr Suriyah Bi is fellow of the Royal Anthropological Society's (RAI) Policy and Practice Committee. She presented on the concept of Equality Act Review as an example of anthropological methodology to influence policy. She was joined by Afzal Khan MP and Tan Dhesi MP. The webinar can be viewed here.
